Allen, Arthur and Albert (see also Ghetto Fighters)

"During his time [in Harlem] with Fay [Pridgeon], they stayed in a house occupied by friends of hers who became quite close to Jimmy, Arthur Allen and his twin brother Albert."1

"Whenever he was in New York, Jimi would renew his friendship with Albert and Arthur Allen, the twins he and Fay had shared a house with in the early days. Arthur had since married Fay and both he and his brother figured in Jimi’s future."2

"Singing the charismatic background vocals on "Dolly Dagger," "Freedom," "Izabella" and "Stepping Stone" were Jimi's buddies from his early days in New York, the Allen Twins, also known as the Ghetto Fighters."3

The Allen Twins have converted to Islam and are now called Tunde Ra and Taharqa Aleem.

“In mid-1969 the Aleems became aware of Jimi’s growing frustrations with his management and his lack of connection with the Black Community and in order to begin to remedy this situation they organized the famous street concert for him in Harlem to benefit the charity Biafra Calls. This appearance would, unfortunately, prove to be Jimi’s only appearance “uptown” and it was a smash success. It was also during this period that Hendrix established his own production and publishing company with the Aleems as well as contributing guitar leads to the songs the Aleems had produced for the GhettoFighter Album they all were working on.” 4
