Eric Burdon

Eric Burdon (b. May 11 1941, Walker, Newcastle, Tyne And Wear, England). Burdon was lead singer of The Animals. After the Animals broke up, bassist Chas Chandler became Jimi Hendrix's manager and brought him to London.Through his association with Chandler, Eric Burdon became friends with Jimi Hendrix, and shared many experiences together, from Monterey Pop to Hendrix's last public appearance, jamming with Eric Burdon and War in London nightspot Ronnie Scott's. Eric Burdon's autobiography, Don't Let Me Be Misunderstood, is highly recommended reading.
