Arthur Lee
Born- Memphis, Tennessee 1944

From 1967-1969, Arthur Lee fronted L.A.-based rock group Love. Love is best known for their only Top Forty single, 1966's Seven and Seven Is.

In 1965,  Rosa Lee Brooks recorded an Arthur Lee composition called 'My Diary', which Lee produced. The song featured the then-unknown Jimi Hendrix on guitar. Lee and Hendrix formed a friendship that culminated in the Hendrix's blistering guitar workout on Love's The Everlasting First from the 1967 album Da Capo
