POSITION: Assistant Professor of Music Technology and Performing Ensembles

Candidates must have a record of excellence in college teaching and must have attained professional distinction in performance and music technology. Applicants must have knowledge and experience in teaching music technology as well as a selection of courses include jazz ensemble, jazz history, musicianship, music theory, music business. The successful candidate will also have a track record of successful ensemble directing and conducting. Advanced performance skills with a DMA or Ph.D. in Music, Music Technology, or related area is required.
Duties include serving as Coordinator of Music and Arts Technology instrumental and vocal performing ensembles, facilitating performance growth of students in the Bachelor of Science in Music Technology program, conduct student jazz ensembles, and teach as needed in courses in that could include jazz history, jazz improvisation, music technology, comprehensive musicianship, and music business. Conduct scholarly research in field-appropriate areas of inquiry, which may include music performance technology and other area analogous to the musical technology discipline. Serve on department, school and university committees as assigned.
FACULTY RANK AND SALARY: Assistant or Associate Professor; salary is commensurate with experience.
